| Company Profile: | License Holder: Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bangkok Patana School was founded in 1957 to provide a British-type education for the children of expatriates living in Bangkok. A non-profit making Foundation, the school currently has an enrolment of 2,100 students representing over 50 nationalities. Some 1.5% of the students and several of the teaching staff are New Zealanders. The students range from 2 1/2 to 18+ years of age. They follow the English National Curriculum and Secondary School examination courses: General Certificate of Secondary Education/IGCSE at age 16 and the International Baccalaureate/Patana Graduate Diploma at 18. The excellent results in external examinations are published annually in a Student Achievement booklet. The School is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Council of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The superbly resourced 105 rai campus is situated at Bangna and includes state-of-the-art classrooms and IT facilities, 2 libraries, Performing Arts suites, 25m & 50m swimming pools, a new indoor sports centre, 12 tennis courts and 3 full size games pitches used by many members of the New Zealand community as part of the schools community sports programmes. |
